I'm Liz, the founder and maker behind Paperbark Collective, based just outside the peaceful beauty of Jervis Bay on Australia’s South Coast. With the support of my husband, I hand-pour each candle with care and intention, using Australian-made natural soy wax, high-quality fragrance oils, and eco-friendly wooden wicks.

Our brand is rooted in the Danish concept of Hygge—a feeling of cozy contentment, connection, and comfort. It’s the warmth of candlelight on a quiet evening, the comfort of a hot drink and a soft blanket, the stillness of slow living. Every candle we make is designed to bring that feeling into your space.

Each one features a natural wooden wick that gently crackles like a tiny fireplace, adding a subtle ambience to your home. These wicks create a clean, long-lasting burn with minimal soot, so your candle looks as beautiful as it smells.

Our jars are minimalist and elegant—gloss white with a timber lid—making them perfect as a gift or a calming addition to your own space.

The name Paperbark Collective is a tribute to the iconic trees native to our region, and a reminder of the beauty and quiet strength found in nature. Like those trees, we believe in standing gently but firmly—in our values of quality, calm, and care.
